More Fnords – Muslim extremists in bid to behead hero

Dawn raids in Birmingham, 9 Muslims arrested. This time, apparently, they planned to kidnap a British Muslim soldier and cut his head off.

I don’t believe a word of it. At most, some one probably mouthed off in anger and was overheard by the wrong person. As I’ve mentioned before, it’s been a very long time since the British security services got something right. No one was charged for that ridiculous fantasy about blowing airliners up with liquid bombs, remember. They’re just having a go at Muslims again, to give their friends at The Sun something to crow about. Of 1,166 anti-terror arrests so far, there have been only 40 convictions.

Also, it might be argued that in a time of war, soldiers are fair game – it certainly makes better ethical sense than targeting civilians,and it’s nothing the IRA didn’t do during the Troubles. And we’ve seen recently what scum the British police and army are. Stop the war, build peaceful solutions, and young men won’t die or get arrested in terror plots. And soldiers, if you don’t want to die, don’t join the army. There’s no conscription or mass unemployment, so there’s no excuse. Chickens come home to roost.

I think John Reid is just wagging the dog to get our attention off his other troubles.
